It was a while since I had skied in Yorkshire. Back in the 80s and early 90s, Graham and I used to coach on the dry slope at Harrogate Ski Centre, which is sadly now closed. So last month it was wonderful to ski in Yorkshire again, this time on the indoor snow of the Snozone at Xscape in Castleford.
I was accompanied by my daughters, Imogen and Reece. At first, the slope was quite busy, but after 6pm it quietened down and we almost had the whole place to ourselves.
The snow quality was impressive, as was the width of the slope, which allowed Reece to practise her GS turns.
Imogen had only previously skied on plastic; she found snow to be a big improvement!
